Awarded by countries for each appearance at Test level. At county level, just one is given and is awarded not on a players first appearance, but at a later stage when it is felt he has "proved himself" as a member of the team; some players never receive one. Worcestershire have now abolished this system and award "colours" to each player on his debut.
